City & Guilds qualifications are accepted throughout the world as evidence of achievement and are highly valued. Employers, education and professional bodies recognize City & Guilds qualifications around the world.

A number of UK Universities and other higher education institutions will accept success at the diploma or advanced diploma level of this programme for direct entry into higher level of these programmes.

    NIGERIA

The Federal Ministry of Education and the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity accept City & Guilds qualifications wither for University Admission to some Nigerian Universities and employment into the Federal Civil Service.

Other employers of labour and professional bodies in Nigeria such as Mobil Oil Producing Nig. Limited and Nestle Foods Nigeria Limited also recognize and accept City & Guilds qualifications.

    INDUSTRIAL TRAINING

Successful candidates will serve a mandatory one year Industrial Training (IT) Attachment before proceeding for the National Youth Service Corps (N.Y.S.C) Scheme.

Candidates exempted from the N.Y.S.C. Programme will serve a two year IT. Attachment, which can lead to permanent employment.

The course runs for 18 months : Four semesters of three (4) months each for each of these three (3) levels:

Certificate Level (1ST Semester)

Technician Certificate in Information Technology

Diploma Level (2ND Semester)

Technician Diploma in Applied Information Technology

Advanced Diploma in Information Technology (3Rd & 4TH Semesters)

Advanced Diploma in Applied Information Technology

A total of these certificate and diplomas will lead to the award of
 Advanced Technician Technological Diploma in Applied Information Technology.

A Full Technological Diploma in Applied Information Technology 
will also be awarded by City & Guilds after two years of post qualification experience
